More Power to Clerc's Children Bilingualism Philosophy!

"My daughter recently had a baby who was born deaf. We are all trying to come to grips with this, but we are getting conflicting information. I have been reading everything that I can find about deaf children and a lot of it recommends using sign language. The audiologist we spoke to said that if we use sign language with her it will retard her ability to speak. Can you help?"

Honoring Dr. Barbara Boyd

Clerc's Children Inc. honors Dr. Barbara Boyd, CSUN English professor who led deaf college students to reach their highest potential in bilingualism. She passionately dedicated her life to helping deaf children to read & write at age appropriate level. She is special to our heart and is greatly missed.
Dr. Barbara Boyd & Founder Terrylene's daughter.
It was a joy for my children, Gianni & Catalene sharing their love for books with her.
